Chinese Smartphone Company Xiaomi Starts Its New Manufacturing Plant In India


Xiaomi is the biggest smartphone manufacturer in china and recently opened a second production plant in India.The Xiaomi has already announced that it wants to become the biggest company in terms of sales and marketing  in India within the next three to five years. To do this, it will have to increase there production.

The announcement for opening a second production plant in India was made on Twitter by the Vice President and Managing Director of Xiaomi India, Manu Jain. He also told that 95 percent of the mi smartphones sold in India are currently manufactured in India. With the new production capacity, Xiaomi is able to produce one smartphone every second during operational hours.

The Xiaomi company’s revenues in 2016 exceeded $1 billion. The Redmi Note 4, is also in high demand. The Chinese manufacturer sold Redmi Note 4 over one million units of the device in the 45 days since it launched in India.

Recently Xiaomi also launched the budget smartphone Redmi 4A in India which retails for ₹5,999.
