Reasons Why You Should not upgrade your current smartphone

Slowing of the mobile phone innovation and the high prices of mobile devices, upgrading your phone might not be seem good and exciting as it once was. If you are still happy with your phone and the phone is working properly, keeping it can help you save money not only by not paying high money for the new phone, but by also taking it to a new carrier for a less expensive plan.

Every year 100’s of new phone launches by the company. With big manufacturers like Apple and Samsung constantly releasing new models of their flagship phones, the latest and greatest doesn't seem to stay the latest for all that long time.
Innovation in mobile phone devices seemingly more focused on making things better faster processing, high quality camera rather than making new things, you may be wondering if getting the latest phone is much of an upgrade. The new phone prices are over the $1,000. you might also be thinking if that slight upgrade is worth the cost. Here are some of the reasons why upgrading your smartphone might not be so smart and good for you.

1. 5G phones are Coming

The new innovation in network technology might force your hand when it comes to upgrading your mobile phone. 5Gnetworks are on the way, but to take advantage of this new high speed changing technology, you'll need a 5G network compatible device.
Once in every country 5G networks are the norm, we might all be due for a smartphone upgrade. Many companies has already launched the 5G Network smartphones like Samsung has launched the galaxy s10 plus and the recently oneplus has launched its 5G smartphone 7pro 5G

2. Your Existing Phone Is Fine.

If you are happy with your phone and the phone is working properly and completing all your need there just really isn't a real reason why you need to upgrade your phone. how you feel about your phone? Consider the following things:
Is your phone handle all your day to day tasks without slowing down or freezing up ?
Is you phone free of screen cracks or other hardware damages that might affect its performance and battery performance ?
Are you happy with the quality of the images you can take with your phone camera?
Is your phone support the recent version of its compatible OS?
Is your phone battery is working properly.
If you have answered yes to all of the above questions, you probably don't need a new phone.

3.The cost of new phones are high.

The cost of the newly launched smartphones is too high. If you want flagship phone of any company you have to pay lot of money from your pocket. If you want one of the flagship from Apple or Samsung Galaxy phones, you could be looking at over $1,000 for your smartphone upgrade.
Financing is typically available for the most of the new phones, but that could mean anywhere between $20 to $40 additional on your monthly phone bill. It seems unnecessary to be spending all extra money if you are perfectly happy with the current phone you already own.

4.Your Current Phone Is Paid Off

If your phone still performs according to your satisfaction and you have completely paid it off you are in a very good place. Chances are you are eligible to have your phone unlocked which, in a world of no cell phone contracts, means you are free to do some cell phone plan shopping.
You have the freedom to take the phone you are happy with and find a cell phone plan that fits all your needs at the best price possible. All this without having to pay hundreds of dollars for a brandnew phone.

5.Not much innovation in smartphone industry

Every new smartphone gives same output, it seems only natural that we've hit a point where big sweeping smartphone phone innovations are few and far between. The new phones are still getting faster, battery life is improving, and cameras of the smartphone are getting better from the previous models, but to many of us, all of these features already exceed expectations on the phones we currently own.
Upgrading smartphones does not impact much in our lives than doing so has done in the past. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, and certainly big changes are bound to come that will make us all itchy for the next upgrade. For now, new tech doesn't exactly make us feel like we need get the new phone right this very moment.

Why and when You Should Upgrade

Upgrade your smartphone
With your current smartphone might not always be your best option. There are several reasons when it might be the right time to get a new smartphone.
Consider the following:

1.Is your current phone running slow?

2.Is your smartphone have some damag?

3.Do you want a better camera phone or you want good selfie phone?

4.Are there features on newer phones that you feel you are missing out on with your older phone?

5.Does your phone not support new software updates?

6.Will your phone not hold a charge?

7.Do you just want a new phone?

8.If you answered yes to any of the above, it could be time to get a new phone.

Paytm Citi Bank Credit Card Launched in India[2019]

Paytm,  India’s one of the largest mobile wallet app, has launched  several businesses in recent years as threat from Google and Facebook grows. On Tuesday, it added another category to the list: Paytm credit cards.
The paytm firm, operated by One97 Communications, today unveiled Paytm First Credit Card with lofty benefits .The cards, issued by Citi Bank, will be the first in the country to offer unlimited, one percent cashback on purchases, Paytm claimed in a statement. The company is hoping to add about 25 million credit card customers in the coming months.

The penetration of credit cards remains very low in India with under 50 million people possessing one. With people in India conducting most of their businesses through cash in the nation, banks have little understanding of a customer’s credit history and score. And it also doesn’t help that banks in India are still wary of issuing credit cards to those who don’t perfectly fit the traditional blue collar job.Paytm made its name through a mobile payment wallet open to its customers engaging with credit card companies? Paytm itself is struggling to grow its business and retain existing customers. Some of its recent major bets haven’t exactly paid off.

But more importantly, payments itself has become a commoditized space. Users park their money in Paytm and do transactions from there. Paytm makes money from this accumulated sum. This business flourished for years, especially in the months after the Indian government invalidated much of the cash in the nation. But then the government launched its own payment infrastructure called UPI, which removes the need for a middleman.

This has made payments more convenient for users, who are increasingly jumping ship. UPI apps such as PhonePe that have emerged in the last two and a half years now see more transactions than wallet apps. To make matter worse for Paytm, Google and Facebook — two companies that have larger userbase in India — have entered the payments space. Google Pay reached 100 million installs on Google Play Store recently, and WhatsApp plans a nation-wide roll out of its payment feature in Indialater this year.So Paytm is now expanding its financial offerings and credit card play fits well in it. With more than 200 million active users, Paytm rivals banks on both the number of customers and volume of transaction it processes.

“Our new offering is designed to bring utmost flexibility to our customers in their digital payment options and will help spur large-ticket cashless payments,” Vijay Shekhar Sharma,  chairman and CEO of One97 Communications said in a statement. As part of the package, Paytm’s credit card holders will be able to avail dining, shopping, travel and other offers that Citi Bank provides to its privilege customers. In the first four months of issuing a card, the company will offer its customers discounts worth Rs 10,000 on spending of Rs 10,000.

Paytm First Credit Card will work both in India and elsewhere and support contactless transactions. Like any other credit card, customers will be able to pay back a sum in multiple monthly instalments. Paytm First Credit Card will charge users a nominal fee of Rs 500 that will be waived off if their spendings through the card exceeds Rs 50,000 in a year.

If the gamble works, Paytm will be able to retain some customers and convince many to do big-ticket transactions. For Citi Bank, this partnership is just an easy ploy to acquire some customers.
Earlier this year, the company launched Paytm First, a subscription bundle that includes access to subscriptions from other services such as Zomato,  Uber, Gaana, and Eros Now.

In the meantime, Paytm continues to aggressively expand its financial offerings. In recent years, it has launched a digital payments bank, and has started to offer prepaid Forex cards for international purchases. It also lets customers buy gold, and employers issue food allowance wallets for their staff. Last year, the company announced Paytm Money topurchase of mutual funds and it also announced the paytm insurance .

Sony AIBO Robot Dog 2017

Sony's Aibo pet robot is making a return. The original dog-like robot launched in 1999, while Sony says its followup is "capable of forming an emotional bond with members of the household while providing them with love, affection, and the joy of nurturing and raising a companion." Its OLED eyes allow for "nuanced" expressions, fisheye cameras see and recognize individual faces while new actuators allow its body to move smoothly along 22 axes. The array of movements and sounds are intended to make Aibo more lifelike, while it's also capable of responding to voice commands and petting to learn what makes its owner happy.

Pre-orders for the new robot begin tonight via Sony's online store in Japan for 179,000 yen (about $1,739 US), with shipments scheduled to begin on January 11th.

Google wants to build there own iPhone and processors

Google curtailed its Nexus program last year in favor of the Pixel, many commentators dismissed that as merely a rebranding exercise to make the latest thing feel fresh. I was in the minority that bought into Google's promise of a fundamentally different approach that would signal a direct challenge to Apple's iPhone, but the Pixel was still just the beginning. What we're seeing in recent times, in the ever-swirling rumor mill and through Google's hiring of new engineers, indicates the depth of Google's commitment to taking on Apple at its own game.

GOOGLE WANTS TO OWN ITS SUPPLY CHAIN  LIKE APPLE

I wrote about this at length back in October: the big difference for Apple isn't just software, hardware, or customer service, it's all of those combined. Apple's unmatched strength is in the integration of all the important aspects that go toward building up a satisfying user experience, and it's long been true that the only company that could hope to match Apple was Google, owing to its dominance on the software front with the Android OS. The Pixel showed that Google was willing and able to produce a premium, uniquely differentiated phone (the Pixel camera remains unmatched, many months later), but it obviously wasn't the finished product of Google's grander project.

Just like Apple, Google commands vast reserves of cash that it can deploy to help smooth out its supply deals, and that's exactly what its reported investment in LG Display is building toward. If the original Pixel was a trial run to test out what it's like to source and assemble all your own components, Google's big lesson from it was that demand for its phones will be high — and disappointment in the event of shortages would be even higher. Unlike Apple, Google doesn't yet have the promise of enormous unit sales to dangle as a carrot in front of potential suppliers, but that is liable to change dramatically with this year's Pixel, which would presumably enjoy much wider distribution and marketing than the original.

Apple's hardware lead is built atop a tight control, often monopolization, of its component supply chain. That's exactly where Google looks to be headed, with recent rumors and leaks indicating that the Mountain View company is working hard to secure a reliable source of OLED displays for a presumed Pixel successor with minimal screen bezels in the same vein as the Samsung Galaxy S8 and LG G6. That's why indications of an LG-produced Google phone for later this year make so much sense: it's not impossible for Google to still use HTC as its manufacturing partner and source panels from LG Display (which is nominally independent from LG Electronics), but it's more complicated than just going all-in with the Korean supplier.

GOOGLE IS HIRING APPLE ENGINEERS TO BUILD ITS MOBILE
PROCESSORS

Two things were revealed yesterday: one is that Google is designing its own system on a chip (SoC) for future mobile devices, and the other is that the lead architect for that project is a man named Manu Gulati, who, until very recently, had been a senior engineer at Apple. Both of these are massive developments, showing that Google won't be content until it has maximum control over every aspect of its smartphone — exactly the same goal that Apple pursues with every new generation of iPhone — and furthermore underlining the level of ambition by poaching away someone who would surely have needed a lot of incentive to leave a job at Apple.

The SoC is the processing heart that powers the vast majority of functions of any modern smartphone, tablet, or smart speaker. Qualcomm's Snapdragon is the most famous and widely used example, Samsung's Exynos is a comparable competitor, and Apple's A series of SoCs are the current gold standard, delivering unmatched performance and efficiency. If Google is determined to not be dependent on another company's whims or fortunes, having its own SoC is an essential part of its future business as a mobile hardware vendor.

The current Pixel is built around the Snapdragon 821 chip — its speed and feature-rich architecture contribute to the excellent Pixel camera — but the instructive example for Google to beware is the Snapdragon 810. Qualcomm had a ton of overheating issues with that piece of silicon, sufficient for Samsung to skip using that chip at all in its Galaxy S6, and Google can't afford to find itself in a similar situation with the Snapdragon 845 or whatever there is down the line. So Google is now building its own SoC, as fully evidenced by its litany of job listings attesting to that ambition.

INTEGRATION ALWAYS WINS

Beside freeing itself of the unpredictability of relying on other companies for critical components, Google's effort to control all the hardware inside its future devices will help it create more tailored, custom solutions. For instance, look at the way that notifications on the Samsung Galaxy S8 are signaled with a pulse of blue light tracing its way around the edges of its almost bezel-less display — that's nowhere near as impressive on a phone without the S8's sleek design. The coherence and synergy that can be drawn from hardware and software designers working in concert is best demonstrated by Apple, naturally, but I can envision future Google devices that have custom processing modules specifically to power Google's magical camera algorithms.

We don't know what difference a Google SoC would make to future Pixel phones, but it's obvious that Google is determined to find out. It's probably safe to presume Google is doing similar work to lock down its supply chain for less glamorous parts, like batteries and vibration engines and so on, and not all of it will be ready to debut by this year's end when the Pixel successor comes out. In fact, it's a practical certainty that Google's mobile processor is years away from making its debut in a consumer product, but that just goes to underline that Google is in this for the long haul.

Best USB-C Adapters, Cables, and Hubs to Connect Old Accessories to Your New Laptop

When the 12-inch MacBook was introduced in early 2015, USB-C was merely a curiosity for most people, but now that many new laptops have dropped legacy ports, USB-C has gone from interesting to important. The new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro models, as well as Windows laptops from HP, Asus, and Acer, offer only USB-C ports, and a number of Android smartphones use USB-C as their only physical connection. This all means that a critical mass of people need cables, adapters, and other ways to get older gear working with newer devices.

After 10 hours of preliminary research, we tested more than 25 USB-C accessories to put together this guide to the best ways to connect peripherals and devices to a USB-C–equipped computer. It’s by no means exhaustive. USB-C can, in theory, replace every other port, and there are a seemingly infinite number of port combinations you might encounter. We focused on the most important tasks you’ll likely face, such as connecting older peripherals like hard drives and hooking up an external display.

We’ll be expanding our coverage of USB-C as the field matures; we’re already working on guides to SD card readers, portable battery packs, port-expansion docks, and more. (We’ll also be covering Thunderbolt 3 at some point.) If there’s something specific you think we’ve missed, please let us know.

Apple iPhone 8 Design Leaked Shows Bezel less And Rear Touch ID

The new apple iPhone 8 images are leaked, an image posted to Weibo today claims to show sketch drawings for the next-generation iPhone 8 straight from manufacturer Foxconn. The sketch drawings shows  an iPhone 8 front and back with minimal bezels on the left and right sides of the display screen. Compared to an iPhone 7 plus, the top and bottom bezels are also significantly smaller like LG G7

On the back of the iphone 8, the dual camera system and rear flash is stacked vertically in the top-left corner, with a Touch ID fingerprint sensor below the Apple logo.

The iPhone 8 drawings are annotated with dimensions which back up claims from KGI that the device would be about the same physical size as the 4.7-inch iPhone 7, featuring a much larger 5.8 inch OLED screen by shrinking the bezels. The display for iphone 8 is ordered from Samsung .

From this sketch drawing, the iPhone 8 device is measured at 149 mm height, 72.5 mm wide and 7.1 mm thin. To compare, the iPhone 7 is 138 mm tall, 67.1 mm wide and 7.1 mm. If this leak is to be believed, the device will be the same thinness as the current phone and about one centimetre taller.
Apple is widely rumoured to be launch three new iPhones this year, two small updates with the same chassis as the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, and one major phone. This latter device is what is pictured above, the ‘iPhone 8’ or ‘iPhone Pro’ or whatever, and new iphone will feature a 3D sensing front camera, wireless charging, 3 GB RAM, 4K display and more in addition to the new external design. All three models are expected to be officially announced in july .

Sony Xperia X series smartphone price cut in India with 50 %

Sony xperia X Series smatphones have a quick price cut in India the Xperia X has a price cut again – this time to half of its original RRP. Xperia X initially launched in May 2016 for Rs 48,990 and then dropped to Rs 38,990 in September and more recently to Rs 29,990, the Xperia X will now set you back just Rs 24,990.

You can buy the phone at the new price on Flipkart, but Amazon India is still showing it for Rs 29,990. Even at its new price point though, if we compare xperia X with the OnePlus 3 and Xiaomi Mi 5, it feels a little overpriced: the Snapdragon 650 chipset in the Xperia X is going to be outgunned by the Snapdragon 820 found in both other phones.
The Xperia X is available at the discounted price in all colors: black, white, lime gold and rose gold in Flipkart and it can be yours in 3-4 days. Flipkart is also offering an additional 5 percent off for buyers with an Axis Bank Buzz credit card. The listing notes that the offer is good until stocks run out or the offer ends, so it’s unlikely this is a permanent price drop.

Live videos will show up in your recommendations and in playlists. Viewers can find live videos in search, or the creator can make them accessible only to people with the link. 5. Snapchat Live Stories

Snapchat stories are a collection of photos and videos that you and your friends publish over the course of a 24-hour period. It's essentially a glimpse of your day. We say 24-hour period, because stories will disappear after 24 hours. It is same as the instagram live stories

You may have seen a section called "Live" in the Stories screen. Live Stories are curated snaps surrounding a particular event. Snapchat pulls user-submitted photos and videos from Snapchatters around the world to craft these Live Stories. So, a Live Story about Paris, for example, would include snaps from people in Paris.
